A collective agreement is a normative-legal contract concluded at the production level between the employer and employees in order to regulate industrial, labor and socio-economic relations and to harmonize the interests of the subjects of social partnership.
The collective agreement is concluded on the basis of the current legislation, accepted by the parties of obligations in order to regulate industrial, labor and socio-economic relations and to harmonize the interests of workers, owners and their authorized bodies. The collective agreement is concluded at enterprises, institutions, organizations, regardless of ownership and economic activity, which use hired labor and have the rights of a legal entity.
At the Odessa National Polytechnic University, a collective agreement is concluded between the administration of the university, on the one hand, and the trade union committee of university employees, on the other.

The provisions of the collective agreement apply to all employees of the university, regardless of whether they are members of a trade union, and are binding on both the administration and the employees of the university.
