Laureates of Nobel and State Prizes

Among current and former employees of the university there are laureates of State Prizes and a Nobel Prize Laureate.

 

 

Nobel Prize Laureate

 

Igor Yevgeniyovych Tamm

An outstanding scientist in the field of quantum physics and nuclear physics. The most famous work received in the years 1950-1953, together with A.D. Sakharov on the content and thermal insulation of plasma by a magnetic field (controlled thermonuclear synthesis). In 1958, I.E. Tamm, together with I.M. Franco and P.A. Cherenkov, was awarded the Nobel Prize. In 1968, I.E. Tamm together with the English scientist Powell was awarded the gold medal to them. Mv Lomonosov. For outstanding scientific achievements he was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor. Igor Yevgenyevich was the laureate of the State Prize and Academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences.

Azhogin Vitaly Vasilyevich

He is the author of 185 scientific works in the field of automation of technological processes, of which 35 are inventor's certificates for the invention and 3 monographs, the winner of the state award of the Ukrainian SSR.


 

Atroshchenko Vasily Ivanovich

Winner of the State Prize of the USSR, awarded together with a group of scientists and engineers for scientific and technical development and introduction into the national economy of an energy engineering unit for the production of nitric acid under pressure with a gas turbine compressor drive and catalytic purification of gas oxides from nitrogen oxides.


 

Gablaya Taisiya Vladimirovna

Researcher at the Department of Nuclear Power Stations of the Odessa Polytechnic Institute; Deputy Head of the NPP Safety Analysis Department at the Odessa Branch of the State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety; Deputy Head of the Department of Safety Analysis of NPPs of the Institute of Safety Problems of NPPs of the National Academy of Sciences Leading Engineer, Nuclear Safety Center, Odessa National Polytechnic University. He has more than 40 scientific publications, including 3 monographs. Winner of the state award in the field of science and technology for 2014.


 

Gutenmakher Lev Izrailevich

An outstanding scientist in the field of automation and computing. For the creation and implementation of an electrical integrator of the EI type in 1948, the USSR State Prize was awarded.


 

Biley Danko Vasilyevich

Candidate of Technical Sciences. General Director of SP "Zaporizhzhya NPP" NAEK "Energoatom"; Quality Director, NAEK Energoatom; technical director, deputy head of the operating organization NAEC Energoatom; Inspector General, Director of Safety, NAEC Energoatom. Winner of the state award in the field of science and technology for 2014.


 

Dashchenko Alexander Fedorovich

Winner of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology, awarded in 2001 for the introduction of high technologies in the production of world-class fiber-optic cables.


 

Kolykhanov Viktor Nikolaevich

Assistant at the Department of Nuclear Power Stations of the Odessa Polytechnic Institute; Researcher at the Department of Atomic Power Stations of the Odessa Polytechnic Institute; Senior Lecturer, Department of Nuclear Power Stations, Odessa National Polytechnic University; Head of Sector of the Institute for the Safety of Nuclear Power Plants of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. He has 39 scientific publications, 5 copyright certificates. Winner of the state award in the field of science and technology for 2014.


 

Komarov Yuri Alekseevich

Doctor of Technical Sciences. Head of NPP Safety Analysis Department in the Odessa branch of the State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety; Head of Sector of the Department of Safety Analysis of NPPs at the Institute of Safety Problems of NPPs of the National Academy of Sciences; Head of Laboratory of the Center for Atomic Energy Safety, Odessa National Polytechnic University. He has more than 50 publications in the field of nuclear safety (including 5 monographs). Winner of the state award in the field of science and technology for 2014.


 

Korchagina Valentina Ivanovna

For outstanding services awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor and the "Badge of Honor." In 1950 he was awarded the title of laureate of the State Prize, and in 1960 - the Hero of Socialist Labor.


 

Mazurenko Anton Stanislavovich

Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Higher Education. Head of the Department of Thermal Power Plants; director of educational and scientific Institute of energy and computer-integrated control systems of the Odessa National Polytechnic University. He has more than 150 scientific publications. Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology for 2014, Honored Worker of Atomic Energy.


 

Mandelstam Leonid Isaakovich

An eminent scientist, known not only in the Soviet Union, but throughout the world, outstanding discoveries that caused fundamental changes in many areas of physical science, and the creation of new, previously unknown, branches of science and technology. Winner of the Prize. IN AND. Lenin, USSR State Prize.


 

Nudelman Alexander Emmanuilovich

Twice Hero of Socialist Labor, laureate of five USSR State Prizes, Lenin Prize laureate. During the Great Patriotic War, during the Great Patriotic War, the head of the design bureau created aircraft cannons capable of striking not only enemy aircraft, but also destroying railway trains, artillery installations, and heavy tanks. In the 1950s and 1980s, the design bureau team created fundamentally new types of weapons. This is the first radio-controlled anti-tank complex "Phalanga", anti-aircraft missile defense systems, a tank complex "Cobra", aviation homing laser-guided missiles. Leonid Ivanov Panov

A scientist who has made significant progress in the development of the production technology of thin-film hybrid integrated circuits. Winner of the 1988 State Prize of the USSR.


 

Papaleksi Nikolay Dmitrievich

An outstanding scientist in the field of radio engineering, in which he achieved brilliant results, well-known in our country and abroad. Winner of the Mendeleev Prize, Stalin Prize 1 degree and the USSR State Prize.


 

Priester Boris Samuilovich

He carried out complex experiments and studies located at the junction of biology, physics, and chemistry, which are of great national economic importance. He is the author of more than two hundred scientific papers, winner of the USSR State Prize, awarded in 1974 for a series of works in the field of environmental protection.


 

Skalozubov Vladimir Ivanovich

Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor. Head of the Department of Nuclear Power Stations of the Odessa National Polytechnic University; Director of the Odessa Branch of the State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety; Head of the Department of Safety Analysis of NPPs of the Institute of Safety Problems of NPPs of the NAS; Scientific Director of the Interdepartmental Center for Fundamental Scientific Research in the field of energy and ecology. He has more than 150 publications in the field of nuclear safety (including 14 monographs). Winner of the state award in the field of science and technology for 2014.


 

Usov Anatoly Vasilyevich

For the totality of works on the introduction of high technologies in the production of optical fiber cables, together with the employees of Odeskabel OJSC, he was awarded the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology in 2001.


 

Yakimov Alexander Vasilyevich

The author of the method of intermittent grinding, more than 250 scientific works, the owner of 78 copyright certificates and patents, Honored Scientist of the Ukrainian SSR, laureate of the State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR. The results of theoretical and scientific research conducted by A.V. Yakimov, have a principled scientific novelty and reflect the priority of Ukrainian science in the field of abrasive-diamond processing.
