The first meeting of the project Tempus
The internationalization of the education can be defined, as the process of including different international aspects in research, teaching and administrative activities of educational institutes with different levels.
Among the basic tasks of the internationalization of the education
-development of joint educational programs, support of the bilateral mobility;
-development of authorial educational programs on foreign languages;
-realization of summer schools for foreign students and advanced students, courses of advanced training for foreign teachers and specialists of industrial enterprises, firms and companies;
- development of distant forms of studying for foreign students;
-widening of possibilities for organization internships for foreign advanced students;
-development and edition of educational methodological materials, summaries of lectures, study guides in foreign languages;
-widening of connections with foreign agencies which specializes on the admission of foreign students; participating in international fairs of educational services;
- development of programs of the sociocultural adaptation of foreign students, advanced students and probationers
Within the framework of programs of European Union, which produce general strategy of change of structures of higher education, the process of internationalization gains maximal momentum in its realization.
Last year Odessa National Polytechnic University became the partner of the project Tempus PICASA ("Promoting Internationalisation of HEIs in Eastern Neighbourhood Countries through Cultural and Structural Adaptations"). In January, 2014 the first meeting passed within the framework of this project, where 25 partners, representatives of different countries, could meet and discuss issues, related to the process of internationalization, and also share best practices in area of the internationalization of the education
Among 15 Universities, which take part in the project, are Chernivtsi National University, National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kiev , universities of Italy, Belorussia, Great Britain, Belgium, Georgia. Leading Partner is Yerevan State University.
