ONPU won first place in the qualifying round of the European NXP CUP 2
The team of the Odessa National Polytechnic University took first place in the qualifying round of the European Championships European NXP CUP 2017.
On April 4, the European NXP CUP 2017 qualifying round was held at the University of Ostrava (Czech Republic), The World Championship in Races of Autonomous Transport Robots. Nine teams from European universities, as well as four school teams took part in the contest to qualify for the EMEA final.
Of the 13 teams that participated, only 10 were able to complete the track. Because of the competition, three teams from universities and three senior school teams ranked first on the 27th and 28th of April in the EMEA final in Munich, Germany.
Among these teams was represented and Odessa National Polytechnic University. The command of the ONPU "Wonderbolts" (consisting of students: Vladislav Samodelok, Daria Рutilina and Boris Timchenko) won in the qualifying round competitions, having passed for 0.2 seconds the team of the University of Krakow, which for a long time held the first position in the competition.
The team "Wonderbolts" passed the track in 10.9 seconds.
