Cap4Com project in ONPU
Regional Seminar "Motivation and tools for partnership" took place in Odessa National Polytechnic University on 10th -11th of October as part of Cap4Com project, which is performed in the framework TEMPUS VI Programme. This seminar is devoted to the cooperation between universities and enterprises using the methodology of competency approach to education.
The project "Building capacity for University-Enterprise partnerships towards competency based training in Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine" (Cap4Com), launched in October 2011. This project involves the universities of Belgium and Germany, Great Britain, France, Ukraine, Georgia and Armenia.
The Regional Seminar was focused on two main aspects of the project:
- Analysis of the Best practices, selected by all the partners of the project,
- Discussion of a new concept of partnership between universities and enterprises.
The workshop was divided into two days:
first day – discussion of the concept between academic staff of ONPU and representatives of the project partners’ organizations,
second day - presentation of a new concept of cooperation between universities and industry to representatives of Ukrainian enterprises.
The second day of the event had been held in the format of "Round table" with representatives of the state administration, business and industry. Among the invited representatives of business and industry were such companies as: "Micron" plant, Odessa Port Plant, «S-engineering» Company, IT-companies «NetCracker» and «Luxoft». The program of the Seminar included presentations by representatives of enterprises, as well as the discussion of best practices and mechanisms of implementation of the concept of competency-based training.
