In the life of every nation there are such events that forever remain in the heart: change consciousness, views on life in general, form opinions, determine the nature of life. One of such driving events was the Revival of Ukrainian statehood.
Mikhail Sergeyevich Hrushevsky is not only a great Ukrainian historian. He is considered one of the founders of Ukrainian science, in his account more than 2 thousand scientific works. Hrushevsky's contribution to the development of Ukrainian statehood and historical science is multifaceted and enormous. He was one of the central figures of the political life of Ukraine at the beginning of the twentieth century; one of those who stood at the origins of the new independent Ukrainian People's Republic, its rapid birth, short-lived existence and tragic death.
The theme of Ukrainian statehood is of great interest among young people today. So the students of the Department of Documentation and Information Work did not remain indifferent and came with great enthusiasm to the west.
The festival began with a solemn performance of the choir of the Odessa School of Arts and Culture. KF Dankevich In their performance, the Ukrainian anthem sounded with such emotionality and patriotism that it became clear from the first chords that the Ukrainian spirit was indestructible.
The introductory speech was made by Julian S. Amelchenko, director of the Odessa regional universal scientific library named after MS. Hrushevsky congratulated everyone present.

All the representatives came not empty-handed and the library gave a number of their works. Head of the department of documentation and information activities of ONP Vasyl G. Sprincian presented collections of the jubilee tenth conference, which is held annually on the basis of the department, and awarded the diplomas of the library staff. Among those present were teachers of the Department of DID.
The program of the two-day festival was very intense and interesting. There were reports, discussions, presentations of books for exhibitions. Yuriy Slyusar, deputy director for the scientific work of the Odessa Historical and Local History Museum presented at the festival a traveling exhibition: "It is time for us to live for Ukraine!": Events of the Ukrainian revolution of 1917-1921 in the Odessa region. "
An interesting exhibition was the works of Mikhail Hrushevsky, as well as an overview of the documentary film by Marina Zhukovskaya, Honored Journalist of Ukraine, TV presenter, author of the cycle of films "Heart given to people" (to the birthday of MS Grushevsky).
